I am a consultant laparoscopic and general surgeon.

My Education:

• MBChB (MD) degree from Alexandria, Egypt in 1977
• FRCS from Dublin, Ireland in 1985
• MBA, New Zealand in 1999.

I have a long experience of more than 25 years, during which I worked in Egypt, Kuwait, New Zealand, America (American Samoa), UAE and Qatar.

My skills are both on laparoscopic and conventional surgeries for both elective and urgent cases.

• laparoscope cholecystectomy, appendectomy, and splenectomy.
• repair by laparoscope the ventral (abdominal wall) and inguinal (groin) hernias.
• laparoscopic fundoplication for GERD (gastroesophagial reflux disease) and hiatal hernias.
• laparoscope for bariatric (obesity) surgery, insert Adjustable Gastric Band, do Sleeve Gastrectomy and Gastric Bypass. I insert Gastric Balloon and adjust gastric bands.
• high ligation for varicoceles by laparoscope
• conventional surgical procedures for stomach, colon, biliary ducts and gall bladder, thyroid and breast.
• treat surgically hydroceles, inguinal hernias, and varicoceles in the conventional way, too
• anal conditions, as hemorrhoids, fistulas and fissures with the traditional and modern techniques.
• OGDs (Osophago-gastro-duodenoscopy) and colonoscopy.

I published seven papers in international medical journals, and have long experience in teaching to the medical students and my junior colleagues.

I am bilingual, express myself well in Arabic and English and culturally sensitive, and used to work with different ethnic groups and at different cultures. I run myself workshops for communication skills.

Three operating days: Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday.
